We  were thrilled this evening. After winning a Gold and Best Of Show COOC EVOO Competition in Monterey. Another 2 awards for our olive oil.GoldMedal &Best in Class. Oh my. My wife and I treat our trees like  babies. We weed by hand pulling all the weeds and roots from around the trees. Can't count the hours, but there are 1200 trees plus. Back breaking  job almost every day. Me with one arm after shoulder surgery, and my wife working together. This must be done to keep the trees healthy. The weeds suck the nutrients from the roots of the tree. So, do what you gotta do, get the weeds out with the roots. Our olive oil is good stuff 1-100 we are in the 94-98 % quality. What a trip. We are entered in three more competitions. If we win any more awards this year I will have to build a larger house. This is just a wild year for us. last year was Silver ,Central Coast and Silver International. This year Jackpot.!!!!!! San Miguel Olive Farm does it again. Wow!!!!!!!!
