Finally, we harvested our olive crop. This year a little earlier. Only one harvest this year opposed to two harvests last year. We expected a good crop until we had a freeze that hurt most of the olive blossoms or buds. We were lucky to have something this year.

My wife and i waited for this date to sell the last of our olive oil.After receiving two silver medals, that set us off. Down to the last drop. It happened in less than 3 hours. Oh my, the tasters gave us thumbs up and put their names on our mailing list for the next crop.

A few days ago the mommy bird had three little tweets to tend for. Again I went to the nest and she let me touch her beak.I whistle to her every time I pass her nest which is at eye level. I sometimes see the nest empty with no parent guarding the tweets.

It was a very exciting day. I could see the mommy bird in her nest. She has a long beak and a watchful eye. I whistled to her and got her attention. i moved very slowly toward her not to frighten her. She let me touch her beak. It was so cool. I moved in such a careful manor.
